Tyler Ray is a veteran of the Strength and Conditioning world with 12+yrs under his belt. This graduate of the University of Windsor has made a career out of his passion for jumping. During his 8-year stint as a professional dunker, known as Jukebox (where he possessed a staggering 49” vertical), Tyler applied his knowledge as a strength coach with his life-long addiction to jumping. He made it his primary focus to understand the ins and outs of all facets of jump technique and training. He has become a specialist. He has pioneered a very unique approach to vertical jump training and currently shares much of his technical skill through his Instagram @projectpureathlete. He utilizes a more technique-centric approach to jumping with a blend of the traditional speed & power focused methodology. Tyler has worked with some of the world’s best leapers and coaches and has quickly become one of the most sought after jump coaches in the world.
Currently, Tyler works as the General Manager and Director of Athlete Development at Sweat Fitness and Performance in Tecumseh, Ontario. Along with coaching many volleyball and basketball players locally and world-wide, Tyler is the Host of The Full Depth Podcast, a fitness and wellness Podcast that discusses all facets of Fitness and Health. Tyler is a student of movement and has truly fallen in love with his work. Tyler continues to grow on a daily basis as a professional and personally as a husband, son, brother and friend.
